We're all about pushing boundaries and ensuring top-notch quality. In this role, you'll lead the charge in shaping our testing strategies, focusing specifically on React apps. You'll work closely with our team of developers and designers, using your React skills to drive automation and fine-tune our testing methods.
What you’ll be doing:
- Requirement Analysis: Review and analyse system specifications to understand testing requirements thoroughly.
- Test Case Creation: Create comprehensive test steps, leveraging tools like Zephyr or similar methodologies.
- Test Execution and Analysis: Execute test cases, both manual and automated, and analyse the results for accuracy and reliability.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Engage collaboratively with diverse teams including developers, designers, and stakeholders, creating synergy and collective effort towards product excellence and continuous improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document testing phases and defects meticulously, ensuring clear communication and traceability.
- Bug Reporting: Report bugs and errors promptly to facilitate swift resolution by the development team.
- Issue Troubleshooting and Insights: Assist in troubleshooting issues and providing valuable insights to enhance product quality.
What you won’t be doing:
- Conventional Testing Methodologies: You won’t be merely executing tests; you’ll have a pivotal role in shaping the way we test our code, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to enhance our testing methodologies.
- No Ordinary Testing Role: You won’t be confined to traditional testing routines; this role offers an opportunity to break away from conventional approaches and innovate in the testing domain.
What you need to succeed:
- Proven experience in quality assurance testing, preferably in an automation-focused capacity.
- Hands-on experience in writing automated tests using tools such as Jest, Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, or similar.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and principles.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to testing.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and improvement, with a “everyone contributes to the code” attitude.
Nice-to-haves (non-essential):
- Fundamental grasp of web functionality, including concepts such as button clicks, dropdowns, and responsiveness.
- Experience in API testing with tools like Postman, Swagger or similar.
- Participation in agile development processes.

Our interview process:
Understanding that interviews can be overwhelming, we've streamlined our process to make it more approachable:
- Firstly, our friendly Talent team will give you a call for a brief chat, addressing any questions you may have before we consider proceeding to our interview phase.
- Next up, you'll be invited to a Teams call (or visit our HQ if you prefer) for a 45-minute interview with the department head and a senior manager. You will then be asked to complete a short assessment to submit back within a few days.
- If the fit seems right, and the assessment has gone well, a final 'feel-good' check awaits as you meet in person with your line manager.
We aim to make the process as seamless and reassuring as possible.
